This line from Shakespeare fits very well these days when assessing “the Mad Georgian,” Marjorie Taylor Greene and her response to anything having to do with an investigation into the insurrection and attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
There are rumors that in the days before the attack, “the Mad Georgian” may have given aid to some of the people who were involved in the insurrection. Perhaps these rumors are closer to the truth than MTG is admitting?
There are other Republicans who are similarly eager to suppress any investigation into the insurrectionist attack of January 6, 2021. Perhaps for similar reasons?
Some of the insurrectionists were surprisingly well informed about locations of offices in the U.S. Capitol, a building which is notoriously difficult to navigate even if you work there.
There is talk of Republican House Representatives giving tours to groups of people in the days before the attack. Coincidence? In light of the events of January 6, 2021, this does look suspicious now.
No wonder Republicans do not want to investigate the insurrection of January 6, 2021. Not only is the leader of their party directly responsible for the attack on the U.S. Capitol due to his questioning the integrity of our election and election system even before the actual election day, his refusal to take part in a peaceful transition of power and by spreading the “Big Lie” of election fraud and a stolen election ever since having been declared the loser of the election.
Now it looks like some members of the Republican party may be directly involved in aiding insurrectionists. Of course, this does not look good for the Party that touts its love and support of Law and Order and Law Enforcement in general. So, if you have no excuse for your actions and behavior, go on the counterattack or, as has been used so often before as defense, blame the victim.
