If this does not happen, then we have created a group of people who is immune from the law, or at least from parts of it, which is still unacceptable.

This brings up the old question of, “Who watches the watchers? Who holds them accountable?”

Maybe it is time we do away with the lifetime appointment and rotate the Supreme Court Justices every few years, or retire them at a certain age. I don’t have the answer, that is for people smarter than me to figure out, but the system of lifetime appointments, just like the Electoral College, is no longer one that fits the time we live in.

The Supreme Court of the United States was established in 1789. “At the founding of our country in 1776, life expectancy was 35 years, while in the early 1900s, life expectancy was still rather modest at 47 years.” Now, the average life expectancy in the USA is at around 75 years.

When the United States Supreme Court was founded, a lifetime appointment was, on average, relatively short. Today, that is a different story, and it has vastly different consequences for our country because a Justice may occupy a seat on the court not for years, but for decades.

In their latest ruling, after striking down Roe and after declaring that it is legal to carry concealed weapons, the Supreme Court has decided that it is ok for a coach in a public school to hold a prayer on the athletic field, gym, or wherever a sports competition may be held.

The reasoning is that by not allowing this, it would violate the right of free speech of the coach. What a bunch of Hogwash! The coach can say a prayer in his head wherever he is, he can say it in his office, he can say it in his car on the way to or from school. He can say it BY HIMSELF whenever and wherever. He should resist saying it out loud if he works in a public school, while at his job, in the presence of others!

Why do all of these motherfucking religious assholes have to rub their piety in everyone else's face?

Faith and religion are something private. People who display it everywhere, openly, outside a church setting, in everyone else's face, are just the same as an exhibitionist who displays his or her genitals to the public.

To me, it is an Unwelcome Display Of Religion!

Well, that just opened up a big can of worms.

Personally, I would urge all parents of public school students, as well as general employees of public schools, to start expressing their faith at their school. People of Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, and Hindu faith, go ahead. But also witches covens, atheists, naturists, as well as followers of Cthulhu and of course, not to forget, you members of the Church of Satan, do your thing at the local public school. Express yourselves, it is your right of free speech!

If the Justices think that a coach holding a prayer in a public school, at any time, in front of his athletes, has no bearing on the athletes, they are total morons. Of course, an athlete is going to ask herself whether joining the coach in prayer, or not, may have an impact on that athlete's standing on the team.

A coach, a teacher, really anyone working with kids and young adults functions as a role model. A coach is the leader of the team, you do not go against the leader, if you want to play. There may not be any pressure from the coach to the players to join him in prayer, the mere fact that he is praying is pressure enough for some athletes, I am sure.

I just want to point out that conservatives, the Religious Right, Evangelicals, Republicans, QAnon Nutters, generally people who go on Fox “News”, call liberals, Democrats, and people on the left “groomers.”

“Following the recent passage of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law and a wave of other homophobic and transphobic legislation throughout the country, current right-wing rhetoric has focused on accusations of “grooming.” The term — which describes the actions an adult takes to make a child vulnerable to sexual abuse — is taking on a conspiracy-theory tone as conservatives use it to imply that the LGBTQ community, their allies, and liberals more generally are pedophiles or pedophile-enablers.”

It looks to me that the Supreme Court Justices, and all those who celebrate this particular asinine ruling, are the groomers here. They want to groom fresh meat for their temples of worship. Sick!

My question is, what has happened to the separation of church and state, the notion of no prayers in public school?

Well, the good news in all of this may be that the dismantling of the First Amendment by the United States Supreme Court opens up the possibility of the dismantling of the Second Amendment, by a future Supreme Court, to tighten up gun laws they way they should be to protect the public.

Maybe the reasoning that was used to do away with Roe should be applied to the “right to bear arms.” This brings up this other thought, if they do not have them already, blue states should have trigger laws in place that makes gun ownership, under any circumstances, illegal. This should apply to any type of gun, and to all bullets.

This can start to happen once the Judges who have lied during their confirmation hearings, or who are proven to have engaged in date rape, or whose spouse has taken an active part in plotting a coup and the events leading up to the insurrection of January 6, 2021, have been impeached and removed from the bench.

It is quite clear, that with the addition of the three Justices that were nominated by Trump, the Supreme Court has turned from being a body that is independent of politics, to a partisan arm of the Party Of Death, aka the Republican Party.

Neil Gorsuch should not even be on the court. He is there because Republicans under Mitch McConnell refused to give a hearing to President Obama’s nominee in 2016, for eleven months, because it was an election year.

Using Mitch McConnell's reasoning, this makes Amy Coney Barrett’s seat on the court illegitimate. She was elevated to the court by Mitch McConnell’s Republican Senate, in an election year, five days before the 2020 election, after Ruth Bader Ginsburg had died a mere six weeks before that election. Or do the rules not apply to everyone equally?

Of course, if Mitch McConnell and the Republicans had given President Obama’s nominee a confirmation hearing in 2016, instead of using the lame “Election Year” excuse, then Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination would have been fair in 2020.

Continuing along this line of reasoning, of the three Justices nominated by Trump, Brett Kavanaugh is the only one who is a legitimate appointee either way, and he is a disaster.

Kavanaugh has the accusation of date rape hanging over him, an accusation which was not thoroughly investigated by the FBI due to time constraints put upon them by the Republican Senate. This allegation has still not been disproven. Kavanaugh also appears to be volatile, with a boorish personality. Apparently, he likes to drink a few beers here and there, according to his own testimony. Nothing wrong with that, unless you are a mean drunk.

Something has to change!

I am with AOC. We MUST hold the Justices accountable for their lies during their confirmation hearings.

But that isn’t enough. Perhaps we need to expand the court, perhaps we need to do away with lifetime appointments, perhaps we need term limits for Justices on the Supreme Court.

I am not sure what the answer is, but with a radical court, playing politics and allowing their religious beliefs into their decision-making, instead of being guardians and interpreters of the Constitution, our Democracy, our Civil Rights, our Nation is under attack, and we are in danger of regressing back to a time that was less enlightened, back into a patriarchy where women had few rights, back to a time of homophobia and racism.
