Does this feel wrong?

Am I the only one who suspects that Trump and his team faked his illness to change the news cycle? At that time, Trump was receiving negative news for his outrageous performance in the first debate as well as details about his taxes that were revealed by the New York Times.

If you ask me, for an overweight, out of shape old guy, he bounced back way too fast when we look at how the virus usually works.

His doctors never gave clear and transparent information about his treatment either, which furthers this feeling of something not being right.

The power of steroids

The other scenario I can imagine is that Trump did get Covid-19 and got so pumped up with steroids that it suppresses the symptoms and makes him feel like some kind of Hulk while actually still being sick.

In this hypothetical scenario, the steroids are continually administered so that he can appear in public at his super-spreader events, look strong and preach to the choir. If this scenario is true then we should see him getting sick again after September 3.

Long lines and long wait times

Another thing that feels wrong here in the USA are the long lines at polling places. We look like a third-world country, not a country that claims to be a world leader in democracy and the democratic process. Of course, the long lines are inspiring because increased voter turnout is always good for the democratic process, but we should be able to have people vote in a timely manner, not have them stand in line for hours. With the pandemic being an issue since late February, Democrats have been saying that we need to take measures to allow people to vote in a quick and easy manner, without having to stand in lines with other people for hours, mail-in voting being one of them.

Republicans have time and again tried to sabotage the process of easy voting or to suppress voting altogether, by maligning mail in voting as fraudulent, reducing the number of drop-off boxes or polling places, to name a few.

I personally am hoping that these attempts to influence the voting process will back-fire on the Republicans in a big way by not only having Trump lose but have Republicans lose their hold on the Senate as well and also lose big on the state and local levels.

Mail-in voting is not affected by weather

Experts predict that most Democrat voters will have voted by mail or early, in person, while Republican voters will vote on Election Day. I am hoping that they will encounter lines that are so long that many will be discouraged an go home. I am also hoping that we will have the worst weather we have ever had on that day, nationwide.

My family and I have already cast our votes.
